How it works

From enquiry to findings, step by step

Everything happens by email, in English, with scope and fee confirmed in writing before any payment. Here is the entire process, including the parts where we need the supplier's cooperation.

Quick answer

You send the supplier details you already have. We recommend an evidence level and confirm a fixed fee in writing. Verification work takes 2–3 business days; a live visit is typically scheduled within 72 hours in major hubs once the supplier confirms access. You receive an English report, footage and notes where a visit was included, and a list of what remains unresolved. We reply to every enquiry by email within 24 hours — no call required.

The five stages in detail

1

You send supplier details

The supplier company name, marketplace profile or website link, and — if you have them — the quotation, proforma invoice and claimed factory address. Do not send anything you are not authorized to share. There is no file upload on this site by design; documents travel by email reply, where you can see exactly who you are sending them to.

Takes you five minutes. Nothing is purchased at this stage.

2

You choose the evidence level

We reply within 24 hours with a recommendation: which service fits the decision you are making, what it will and will not answer, the exact fee and the turnaround. If a cheaper level answers your question, we say so — an unnecessary live visit produces an unhappy customer and a worse reputation than the fee is worth.

Scope and fee confirmed in writing before payment.

3

We verify the company and documents

Registry records are pulled, translated and compared against the supplier’s marketplace profile, website, email domain and your documents. A human reviewer weighs the findings and sets the visible-risk rating. Where sources conflict, both versions appear in the report with their dates.

2–3 business days

4

We arrange the live visit where requested

We contact the supplier, obtain consent, confirm the filming scope and fix a date. You approve a visit checklist beforehand. On the day, a bilingual representative attends the site and streams to you live; you direct the camera and put questions through the representative in Chinese. Where the supplier declines access or restricts filming, you are told before the visit fee is committed — and the refusal itself goes into the findings.

Typically within 72 hours in major manufacturing hubs.

5

You receive findings and next-step questions

An English PDF: what matched, what did not, what could not be established, and the specific questions to put to the supplier before paying. Where your decision needs a discipline we do not provide — formal audit, product inspection, laboratory testing, legal advice — the report names it rather than stretching our scope to fit.

Findings are yours to share with partners, banks or advisers.

What we need from you

The more you can provide, the stronger the comparison — but the minimum to start is genuinely small.

  • Minimum: supplier name and one link (profile or website).
  • Better: plus the quotation or PI and the claimed factory address.
  • Best: plus the payment instructions, the business-license copy if offered, and a note on what is making you hesitate.

What can slow things down

We publish the honest friction points rather than discovering them with you mid-engagement.

  • Supplier delay in confirming visit access — outside our control, reported to you as it happens.
  • Chinese public holidays, especially Chinese New Year and National Day week.
  • Sites far outside the base coverage regions, which need travel arrangements and a custom quote.
  • Documents that name multiple entities across jurisdictions — resolvable, but sometimes needing an extra round of questions to the supplier.
