Coverage
Where we can be quickly — and honestly, where we cannot
Quick answer
Base live-visit pricing from US$899 applies in four clusters: the Pearl River Delta, the Yangtze River Delta, Yiwu–Ningbo and the Qingdao area, where visits typically schedule within 72 hours of supplier confirmation. Elsewhere in China, visits are arranged case by case with a travel surcharge of US$100–200 or a written custom quote. All scheduling remains subject to supplier consent and field-team availability.
Pearl River Delta
Shenzhen · Dongguan · Guangzhou · Foshan · Huizhou · Zhongshan · Zhuhai
Typical industries
- Electronics and consumer hardware
- Injection moulding and hardware
- Furniture and home products (Foshan)
- Lighting
- Small appliances
- Packaging
Scheduling
The densest cluster we cover. Visits in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou and Foshan can usually be scheduled within 72 hours once the supplier confirms access.
Worth knowing
Many suppliers here operate a sales office in one city and production in another. Confirm which address the visit will actually reach before booking.
Yangtze River Delta
Shanghai · Suzhou · Wuxi · Changzhou · Nanjing · Hangzhou
Typical industries
- Industrial machinery
- Automotive and EV components
- Precision engineering
- Textiles and apparel (Hangzhou)
- Chemicals and materials
- Electronics assembly
Scheduling
Well connected by rail, so a single field representative can often reach two sites in one region in a day. Scheduling is typically 72 hours or slightly longer for outlying industrial parks.
Worth knowing
Industrial parks outside the city core can add travel time. Where a site sits well outside the listed cities, a remote-area travel surcharge may apply.
Yiwu–Ningbo
Yiwu · Ningbo · Jinhua · Taizhou · Wenzhou
Typical industries
- Consumer goods and general merchandise
- Stationery and gifts
- Small household products
- Tools and hardware
- Footwear and accessories
Scheduling
Yiwu is a trading market rather than a manufacturing cluster. Where a Yiwu contact is a trader, we will say so, and where the production site sits elsewhere, we will tell you before scheduling.
Worth knowing
Expect a high proportion of trading companies here. This is not automatically a problem — but you should know which you are dealing with before paying.
Qingdao area
Qingdao · Yantai · Weifang
Typical industries
- Food processing and packaging
- Rubber and tyres
- Machinery
- Textiles
- Marine and fishing equipment
Scheduling
Standard base pricing applies within the Qingdao area. Scheduling is usually slightly longer than in the two southern deltas.
Worth knowing
Sites in the wider Shandong province outside these cities are quoted individually.
Other cities in China
Chengdu · Chongqing · Xiamen · Fuzhou · Tianjin · Zhengzhou · Xi’an
Typical industries
- Varies by location — tell us the site and the product category.
Scheduling
Arranged case by case. Lead time depends on travel and field-team availability, and is confirmed in writing before you commit.
Worth knowing
A remote-area travel surcharge of US$100–200, or a custom quote, applies outside the base-pricing regions.
Travel fees and scheduling rules
The same published rules apply everywhere — no fee is discovered after booking.
| Remote-area travel | +US$100–200 or custom quote |
| 24–48 hour rush scheduling | +50% |
| Multiple sites in one engagement | Custom quote |
| Extended live session | Custom quote |
| Supplier-caused same-day cancellation | Missed-visit fee |
| Buyer rescheduling | Subject to notice period |
The caveats that actually matter
Supplier access governs everything
We coordinate access with the supplier you identify. Access, filming areas and management availability remain subject to supplier consent. A supplier is entitled to refuse a visit or restrict what may be filmed, and we will report that refusal rather than work around it.
Coverage depends on field-team availability
Listed regions describe where we can usually schedule quickly. They are not a promise that a representative is free on a specific date. We confirm the date in writing before you pay.
Live connection quality varies
Production floors are noisy, and mobile signal inside steel-framed buildings can be poor. Where a live stream is not viable, we will record and deliver footage instead, and we will tell you which happened.
Holidays and closures
Chinese New Year, National Day week and local shutdowns materially affect scheduling and what is running on the floor. A quiet factory during a holiday period is not evidence of a quiet factory in general.
Factory city not listed here? Send it anyway via the contact form — most of China is reachable with planning, and we will tell you the real lead time and cost in writing before you decide. For what happens on the visit itself, see the Live Factory Visit page.
